Our Executive Chef, Justin Murphy, creates ingredient-driven, seasonal menus highlighting bold textures and dramatic flavors that are sure to please. Chef Justin is extremely passionate about great food, wine, family and life in general, and is a consummate professional who designs foods that feed the eye as well as the palate. Chef Justin's vision of modern Florida and Latino-Floribbean cuisine blends Cuban, Puerto Rican, Columbian, Jamaican, Bahamian, and American Deep South & Gulf Coast cuisines. His menus are enhanced with all natural organic & sustainably produced proteins, locally sourced sustainable seafood, the freshest seasonal and local produce, as well as fresh herbs, oils and spices.

Chef Justin is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University's North Miami campus and is a highly regarded chef in the South Florida restaurant scene. Justin has honed his skills at several of the finest restaurants in South Florida including Nemo, Norman's, China Grill, The Blue Door at the Delano Hotel, the Gaucho Room and The Palm Grill. As Executive Sous Chef at the award winning Turnberry Isle Resort & Spa in Aventura Florida, Justin had oversight of restaurant operations and development for the property's six eateries including the star rated Veranda restaurant.

Chef Justin has also apprenticed with several nationally known chefs including the legendary Robin Haas (Food and Wine Magazine's "Top 10 Best New Chefs"), James Beard award winning chef Michael Schwartz, corporate executive chef of Loews Hotels Marc Ehrler, Chef Allen Susser, Jose Andrés (James Beard awards for Best Chef of the Mid-Atlantic Region 2003 & 2011 Outstanding Chef honors) and critically acclaimed award winning author and James Beard "Best Chef of the Southeast" winner, Chef Norman Van Aken.

Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Safety Harbor in Florida, Marker 39 Floribbean Cuisine offers top shelf locally sourced Caribbean and Latin-American cuisine infused with Asian inspiration as well as re-imagined American classics and vegetarian options. Enjoy outdoor Key West style dining amidst canopies of tropical foliage on our shade covered deck, or cool down with a glass of wine or a craft beer and an appetizer in our main dining room & classic Florida style wine bar. Dinner served Wednesday - Saturday. Sunday brunch 11am-2:30pm. Conveniently located within minutes of Ruth Eckerd Hall, and walking distance from the Safety Harbor Spa, enjoy a delicious dinner prior to your show and get to Ruth Eckerd Hall with time to spare!
